I went down to San Diego to visit family for Christmas and made lots of delicious food for the occasion. I had a nice time cooking and creating recipes with my mom and sister. This recipe was a big hit and one of my favorites. It’s sort of like peanut butter cups but easier!
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Layers
Put Peanut butter mixture in a 14×9 pan and freeze
In a double boiler melt:
8 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate (I like this chocolate because it’s 100% cacao)
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup maple syrup
Put chocolate mixture over frozen peanut butter and spread evenly. Freeze until it’s hardened and then break into smaller pieces. Be sure to store in the freezer or fridge so it doesn’t melt.
