Full-time blogging

3 years ago, I wrote my very first blog post.

I had no idea what I was doing at the time nor did I have any technical abilities or smarts about social media.

All I knew was that I loved creating healthy recipes and I wanted to share them with other people with dietary restrictions too.

At the time I had no idea that people could live off of revenue from their blogs.

It was only until I read a blog post from another food blogger that I realized that you COULD blog full-time and earn a living from it! As soon as I found out that blogging could be your job, I was FLOORED.

I thought…

“Seriously? Blogging can be a job??……I want THAT job!”

I didn’t care what I had to do to make it happen, but I knew that was the perfect job for me, so I set up my blog on my own, got hosting and bought a domain and wrote my first few blog posts. I set out to grow my traffic, increase my followers, monetize my blog and do everything in my power to make my blog my full-time job.

And you know what?

I did it!!

In December 2013, 1 year and 1 month after publishing my first blog post, I was earning about the same amount of income from my blog as I was from my day job. So, I officially quit my day job and started blogging full-time at Healy Eats Real!

I had grown my blog from zero, ziltch, nada to over 200,000 visitors per month in about a year.

How did I do it?

It wasn’t magic and it wasn’t luck.

During that year, I was DETERMINED to make my blog my job.

In the spare time I had outside of work, I studied, I obsessively read everything I could get my hands on about growing traffic, growing social media, pinterest, facebook, ads, SEO, food photography, monetizing a blog and more.

I went through lots of trial and error. I tried some things that worked great, and I tried some things that totally failed. I networked with other bloggers in my niche and learned from them and bounced ideas around with them. I took online classes with experts and coaches.

Most of all, I BELIEVED that I could do it, because it was the job that I wanted more than anything and I knew it would be mine…Oh yes, it would be mine!

Now that I’ve been blogging full-time for a while I can tell you that I NEVER stop learning.

In the online world things are ALWAYS changing.

Maybe Facebook changes their algorithm once again and restricts your fans from seeing your posts.

Maybe Google comes out with another update and changes how websites will be ranked for searches.

I have to keep up with these changes since they affect my business.

Do you have a blog that you want to grow?

I can tell you from first-hand experience that trying to do EVERYTHING yourself and be an expert at everything is a BIG MISTAKE that will cost you lots and lots of time and money.

One big lesson that I learned is that it’s better to learn from the experts who have done it rather than trying to figure it out yourself….

Yes, maybe you can figure it out yourself for free, but how long will it take you? 1 year, 2 years, 3 years?

Think of all the income and revenue you are missing out on in those years…if you became profitable within a few months, your investment would be worth it, right?

Why waste all that time when you can get the answers in a few weeks!?

Introducing The Ultimate Blogging Handbook Framework

Abby over at Just A Girl And Her Blog has created an amazing program to easily guide you through blogging to success and I’m so excited to share it with you!

In January 2013, on a whim, Abby decided to start her blog. She didn’t think anybody would read it or that it would ever amount to much. In her wildest dreams she thought that maybe four years down the road when both of her kids were in school she could be making a little bit of extra income from it, but she didn’t have the first clue about how to make that happen.

Now here we are a little over two years later, and not only has the blog no one was ever supposed to read amassed millions of pageviews, but she is able to make a full-time income and both she and her husband get to be at home with her boys, working on the blog together.

What if you had a detailed, step-by-step guide to walk you through building your successful blog?

Abby’s goal with Building a Framework was not to throw out a bunch of lofty theories and blogging rhetoric but to single out the best, most effective strategies that will help bloggers take tangible action steps toward building a better blog and creating a stronger framework for their online business.

Not only is Framework packed full of tried-and-true methods that you can start using today, but all of the information is laid out in a logical way that will take bloggers and bloggers-to-be through the process of growing successful blogs one step at a time.

Streamline your growth, monetize your blog and grow the successful blog you’ve always dreamed of! Click here to get started NOW!
