almond flour

It’s so easy to learn how to make almond flour! I never buy it because I can make it so quickly. I usually just make the amount that I need right before I make a recipe with almond flour.

For best results use blanched almonds. I buy blanched slivered almonds for best results.

Check out the video below for instructions on how to make almond flour!

How to make almond flour:

1 cup blanched almonds (change the amount depending on how much flour you need)

1. Use blanched almonds like these. Blanched almond will work the best for baking recipes. I just make fresh almond flour when I need it.

2. Put almonds in a food processor. I have this food processor and I love it because it has a built in side scraper that you can use while it’s running. If you need 1 cup of almond flour-put in 1 cup of almonds.

3. Pulse until you get a flour like texture. Be careful not to pulse for too long because it can release the oils. You want it to be dry. That’s it! Easy almond flour in 5 minutes!

Hi Mona, I have this food processor—>http://amzn.to/14o17un I just got it recently and like it a lot because it’s not too expensive, works well, and comes with a food scraper so you don’t have to stop the processor to scrape down the sides

I have been wanting to try this, but thought it had to be in a Vitamix or Blendtec. That’s it, I’m going to try it in my FP. Thanks!

What would you do if you don’t have a food processor but do have a blender. That’s it.

I make almond flour from 1 cup of almonds soaked overnight with salt. Rinse in the morning, squeeze off the skins & process into milk. Dehydrate pulp in oven @ 125 degrees- or dehydrator. Grind in grinder. SO 1 cup of flour, AND 32oz of almond milk — AND the soaking makes them easier to digest! I make almond milk ANYWAY, so Why not? It works FABULOUS in recipes! Plus it is SUPER fine!
