Pineapple sorbet recipe tips
- This recipe must be made with frozen pineapple and will not work with fresh pineapple. You can buy frozen pineapple from grocery stores or cut up a pineapple and freeze it yourself. If you freeze it yourself just be sure to cut it in to small pieces and make sure the pieces are separated so they don’t stick together when freezing. This wont work if it’s jus tone big frozen lump of pineapple.
- You will need a food processor for this recipe to work. Since the pineapple is very hard and frozen, the food processor is the only thing that can really break it up and create it into a soft frozen treat. A blender will not work.
- This pineapple sorbet will need to be eaten immediately after making it since it will start to melt and will not keep well in the freezer.
- I like to put my ice cream bowls in the freezer prior to making this recipe so that the sorbet stays nice and cold after I place it in the bowls.
